Paige:
My name is Paige Ford. I am a Client Advisor here in Charlotte within the Private Bank. And I served for five years on active duty as a combat and civil engineer in the Army.
Stephen:
My name is Stephen Price. I was a captain in the United States Marine Corps. And I’m currently a Client Advisor with the Private Bank here in Charlotte.
Paige:
On a daily basis, I find similarities between my soldiers in the Army and my colleagues here at J.P. Morgan's Private Bank. I am surrounded by morals and ethics and a team environment and in a group of people that share one common mission.
Stephen:
J.P. Morgan helps ease the transition for veterans a number of ways. I work with some of the individuals in the Pathways Program to help mentor them and help them to find the best route to success.
Paige:
The Veteran Jobs Mission in particular has taken off. 547,000 veterans have been hired since this initiative was launched in 2011. Today’s event, which I’m extremely excited about, is a Celebration of Service for Veterans Day. About six months after joining the firm full-time in New York City, my husband, who is a Green Beret at Fort Bragg, said, “I need you to come home. I need you here. It is likely that I will be going to Afghanistan.” And the reality is, you don’t know if they’re coming home. I felt like I was betraying my boss. She didn’t even blink an eye. She said, “You’re right. "I’m gonna make it happen.” And within weeks, she had coordinated the logistics for me to move down to North Carolina. And be the first employee that they hired for J.P. Morgan's Private Bank in the Charlotte office. And for that reason, I will always have a profound sense of loyalty to this firm.
