Hi, I'm Noreen Bishop Hill, and this is my leadership spotlight.

I started with the firm over 36 years ago in New York City. After living in New Jersey and the east coast for 20 years and graduating from Providence College, I joined the retail management training program. I was in the program for over a year and then launched our small business banking, which was a brand new division of the firm at that time, focusing on small and medium-sized businesses.

16 years ago, I had an opportunity to help build out what was then our west region for Chase business banking, based here in Arizona, which was a strategic hub for our West Coast. And after doing that for over 25 years, had an incredible opportunity to join the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, leading our desert southwest market.

I absolutely love being a part of this Arizona community for many reasons, that it is not only a thriving but growing market in Arizona. We have innovative companies that are now a part of our office building and, more importantly, we now are collaborating with our commercial banking partners and investment banking team. We are all in this one location here, working together as a team.

I fully believe the value of the sum of the parts is greater than any individual. And bringing all of the strengths of our team-- from our bankers, to our lending specialist, to our wealth advisor, to our trust officer-- and bringing all of those resources together to help our bankers as well as our clients. And being that collaborator is an important part of my leadership.

We get together regularly with our integrated team members to share best practices, to highlight activity, and success, and progress that they've had, and to share that across the team and, more importantly, to engage the entire team in helping to advance an opportunity that we have to draw connection and really make this more of a family helping each other to be successful.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given is don't sweat the small stuff. Oftentimes, those small things can get in the way of making real impact and progress. We're in this for the long haul. Oftentimes, this business has very long cycles and it takes a lot of meetings, and conversations, and a lot of effort from our team. Don't sweat the small stuff. Keep doing what you're doing and not to get derailed, but really focus on the client. And then, of course, a good pair of shoes can change your life-- quoted by Cinderella.

What's kept me at J.P. Morgan for all of these years is absolutely the people, first and foremost. But it's also the extraordinary opportunities to be able to work across different lines of business, work in different parts of the country, and take on new responsibilities.

In starting my career in New York, I never would have guessed that 20 years later I would be living in Arizona, managing the private bank for Arizona, and Nevada, and the Desert Southwest. I started with the firm over 36 years ago in New York City. After living in New Jersey and the east coast for 20 years and graduating from Providence College, I joined the retail management training program.

I was in the program for over a year and then launched our small business banking, which was a brand new division of the firm at that time, focusing on small and medium-sized businesses.

16 years ago, I had an opportunity to help build out what was then our west region for Chase business banking, based here in Arizona, which was a strategic hub for our West Coast. And after doing that for over 25 years, had an incredible opportunity to join the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, leading our desert southwest market.

I absolutely love being a part of this Arizona community for many reasons, that it is not only a thriving but growing market in Arizona. We have innovative companies that are now a part of our office building and, more importantly, we now are collaborating with our commercial banking partners and investment banking team. We are all in this one location here, working together as a team.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given is don't sweat the small stuff. Oftentimes, those small things can get in the way of making real impact and progress. We're in this for the long haul.
