Biografia
Elisa Shevlin Rizzo is a Managing Director and the Head of Family Office Advisory for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Elisa leads a team of experts in working with complex, multi-generational families and their advisors to provide guidance around a suite of family office services. She focuses on helping clients navigate the challenges of institutional wealth through trust and estate structuring, family governance and next-generation engagement.
Elisa draws on her broad experience in estate and wealth planning design and administration to serve as a thought engine and advance the firm’s discipline in this space. She fosters a culture of collaboration, ensuring her team has the resources and training they need to successfully partner with private banking coverage professionals. Elisa curates events to educate clients on family office trends, and maintains a strong professional and community network to connect them with like-minded peers.
As a trusts and estates attorney with 25 years of experience, Elisa has worked with clients at every stage of life and all levels of wealth. She is a sought-after speaker and published author. Most recently, Elisa was the Chief Fiduciary Officer for the East Region at Northern Trust Company, and previously served as Trust Counsel and led the Estate Settlement Practice at Fiduciary Trust Company International. Earlier, she practiced at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft and Cummings & Lockwood, LLC. Now at J.P. Morgan, she welcomes the opportunity to leverage her background in helping clients share in a common enterprise.
Elisa earned a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross. She is a fellow of the American College of the Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), and has served in leadership roles for the New York State Bar Association Trusts & Estates Section and the ABA, Real Property, Trusts and Estates Section. With a long history of local involvement, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe.
Elisa, her husband and their five children live in Bronxville, New York. In her downtime, she is a recreational runner maintaining a streak of 500+ days. Elisa also enjoys cooking and gardening.
