Biography
Chris Deveny is Chairman of J.P. Morgan Private Bank in the Midwest and is located in Chicago, Illinois. In his role, he works with an integrated team of advisors and leverages the resources of the Asset & Wealth Management, Investment Bank and Commercial Bank businesses to seamlessly advise multi-generational families on their closely held assets. Chris and his team take a comprehensive approach with a long-term perspective to best prepare clients for the future. He is also a member of the Midwest Operating Committee for JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Chris joined the J.P. Morgan Private Bank Chicago office in 1995 when the office was first established. He has held various leadership positions in the Midwest Region, including Central Investment Team Lead and Midwest Region Head. In the early 1990s, he worked in the Private Client divisions for Kidder Peabody and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and has worked in the financial services industry since 1984.
Currently, Chris is a board member of Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, The Greater Chicago Food Depository and Ravinia Festival. He is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and Executive Club of Chicago, and serves on the Kelley School of Business Advisory Council at Indiana University.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
