
Doug Holthaus
Doug Holthaus is an Executive Director and Client Advisor at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Baltimore, Maryland. He provides wealth planning, investing, banking, lending and trust services for the region’s successful business owners and families.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Doug uses his deep knowledge of financial planning to help his clients achieve the influence, impact and futures they envision. An empathetic listener and natural conversationalist, he strives to make sure his clients have their needs articulated and addressed. In particular, Doug’s clients appreciate his ability to explain complex investment strategies and planning procedures in clear language, so that they can act on his advice with more confidence.
Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2018, Doug was a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with U.S. Trust. Prior to that, he worked at PNC Wealth Management for six years as a Senior Relationship Manager. His experience also includes tenures at Mercantile Capital Advisors as Vice President of alternative investments and mutual funds, Deutsche Asset Management as a Relationship Manager, and Friedman, Billings & Ramsey Group as a Syndicate Desk Analyst. Doug began his career at Legg Mason in 1996.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Doug received a B.A. in Political Science from the nearby Salisbury University and he remains involved in his community. Inspired by his relationship with his own daughter, Doug joined Sister Circle, an organization that provides long-term mentoring to girls and young women in Baltimore. When he’s not working or volunteering, Doug can be found playing ice hockey, exploring the outdoors and spending time with his family.
