David Kirtman
David Kirtman is an Executive Director and Banker in the Seattle office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. David leads the family office practice for the Pacific Northwest region to deliver seasoned advice to large families and institutional-type offices whohave complex balance sheets and share similar challenges. He serves as a powerful gateway to present the firm's capabilities and enhance the opportunities afforded by significant assets.
As a former professional athlete and current entrepreneur, David holds an insightful perspective on the sophisticated goals of high performing individuals. He has a particular interest in guiding real estate professionals, developers/founders in the videogame community and executives of other emerging technologies to address the distinctive challenges they often face. David coordinates a team of specialists throughout the firm to design integrated wealth management approaches that care for family legacy planning, asset allocation and investment strategies. He is known as a high-motor guy who brings a winning combination of market knowledge, industry passion and the drive to help others succeed.
With a background that is institutional in nature, David has spent more than a decade amassing strong capabilities in U.S. and international investment banking and private wealth management. He began with Merrill Lynch in Japanese equity sales and trading and has spent the past seven years with J.P. Morgan in Tokyo, New York and Seattle. Before he entered the world of Finance, he was an NFL player with the Seattle Seahawks and provides other professional athletes with financial education to help them make the most of their limited-duration careers.
David is a graduate of the USC Marshall School of Business, where he earned a B.S. in Business Marketing and was a David X. Marks Foundation Scholar.
A native of Seattle, David and his wife are pleased to be raising their three children in his hometown. He attended Mercer Island High School and is a board member of the Mercer Island Football Booster Club. David and his family host the Lake Chelan Memory Cup in honor of his father and others directly affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
