Private Equity Principal

Client Scenario 1 · Private Equity Principal, Singapore

A founding partner of a regional buyout fund needed to fund a $60M GP commitment to his latest vehicle. The timing coincided with delayed exits from select portfolio companies in the prior fund, alongside a residential property purchase and planned art acquisition—making liquidity tight. Selling existing fund positions was not an option.

We structured a $25M credit facility secured against the client’s LP interests in prior funds to bridge near-term capital calls, with availability aligned to the capital call schedule. The facility was put in place within 45 days.

Hedge Fund Manager

Client Scenario 2 · Hedge Fund Founder, Hong Kong

Hedge fund founder with more than 70% of assets invested in his own flagship Asia equities strategy seeking diversification of assets.

After assessing concentration risk and liquidity needs, we tailored an investment portfolio spanning investment-grade credit (single line fixed income positions, mutual funds and institutional discretionary SMAs), customized a portfolio of hedge funds uncorrelated to his fund and established a commitment plan for private investments.

In addition, we structured a lending solution secured by his fund interests to provide liquidity for reinvestment in his strategy and to support other personal objectives such as art purchases.

Client Scenario 3 · Financial Executive, Hong Kong

A senior financial executive, who previously relied solely on an execution-only online trading platform, sought improved cash management solutions and guidance on wealth structuring. We provided the financial executive access to our intellectual capital, tailored solutions on liquidity management, competitive borrowing rates and undertook estate planning discussions.

We addressed the family’s planning priorities by advising on will/guardianship considerations and evaluating a range of wealth planning solutions, including holding structures, family trusts and broader succession planning frameworks.

To support compliance reporting requirements, we also established an automated data feed with the financial executive firm’s compliance team.

Client Scenario 4 · C-suite Financial Executive, Singapore 

A C-suite financial executive with relationships across multiple banks and brokers sought to consolidate portfolios and gain holistic guidance on overall asset allocation.
