Biography
Sophie Haas, CFA is the Head of Sustainable Investing – International Private Bank at J.P. Morgan Private Bank based in London.
Sophie joined J.P. Morgan in 2021 after over a decade of experience in private banking. In this role, she leads the development and execution of the Private Bank’s sustainable investment offering and strategy in Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia-Pacific.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Sophie was at HSBC Private Banking for 10 years across New York, Hong Kong and London. She was the Private Bank’s Head of Sustainable Investment Offering and HSBC Wealth & Personal Banking Global co-Head of ESG Solutions, where she developed the investment products and services offering across all asset classes, related to ESG integration, Sustainable and Impact investments.
Sophie is personally passionate about minimising her carbon footprint in many ways and offsetting the rest of it to have a neutral carbon footprint.
Sophie Haas graduated from the London School of Economics with an MA in International Political Economy, and from Sciences Po Lille, France with an MSc in Politics, Economics and Finance. Sophie is a CFA Charterholder, and also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute. She also completed the executive course on Sustainable Finance from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
