AZ Big Media's Arizona Business Leaders

The leaders were selected from a pool of more than 5,000 of the most innovative entrepreneurs and the best and brightest Arizona business leaders in healthcare, real estate, construction, education, banking, financial services, manufacturing and law. Over the course of more than two dozen meetings, the list of 5,000 leaders under consideration was paired down to about 500 names which the selection panel considered to be the most influential leaders in their industries.
Buffalo Business First's 40 Under 40 List
Business First once again will honor 40 Western New Yorkers under 40 years old for their professional success and community involvement. To be admitted to this exclusive class, a candidate must be under 40 years of age as of Nov. 18, 2021, and be a mover and shaker both in business and in the community. Crain’s Detroit Business’ Notable Money Managers
Crain’s Detroit Business seeks to honor executive-level finance professionals with a record of success in consumer and investment banking, wealth management, equity research, asset management, quantitative strategy and related fields. These professionals also use their skills to bolster their communities and mentor younger generations. In order to be considered for this award, a nominee must: be a Michigan resident, serve in an executive-level role (four levels removed or fewer from the CEO), make a measurable impact in the industry and have the power to effect change, make significant contributions within their industry and/or community, and be involved in community or philanthropic activities, mentoring programs or diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
Crain’s New York Business’ Notable Asian Leaders
This list includes top Asian executives in New York City with 10 years of leadership experience for their accomplishments. Eligibility requirements are: nominee must be based within the 5 boroughs of Manhattan and Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties in New York, and Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris and Union counties in New Jersey, ethnic background, ancestry or origins of honoree should be of Asian descent—having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam, must be employed for a minimum of 10 years within their industry, have shown the ability or power to affect change in their role or area of practice, have assumed a leadership position in matters of diversity and inclusion (either inside or outside their company), has a focus on recent achievements (within the last 12 to 18 months), and can highlight involvement in any of the following: community and/or philanthropic activities, mentoring programs, diversity & inclusion initiatives.
Crain’s NY Notable Women on Wall Street Awards
A Nominee must be based within the 5 boroughs of Manhattan and Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties in New York, and Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris and Union counties in New Jersey. They must be a woman currently working in New York in the financial sector such as banks, investment firms, insurance companies, mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity funds and stock exchanges who have been working for a minimum of 5 years in the industry. Crain’s NY's Diverse Leaders in Banking and Finance
Must be employed at a banking or financial institution (brokerage, asset manager, insurance, venture capital, etc.). Individuals nominated must self-identify as representing diversity in the workplace—including women, people with disabilities, African Americans, Latinos, Asians and other underrepresented groups. Must have at least 10 years of experience in financial services. Must serve as a role model or mentor to others in the profession or their community.
Crain's Cleveland Business' List of Notable Wealth Managers
The honorees do not pay to be included. Their profiles were drawn from the nomination materials submitted. This list is not comprehensive. It includes only individuals for whom nominations were submitted and accepted after a review by editors. To qualify for the list, nominees must be based in Northeast Ohio. Diversity Woman Magazine's Elite 100
The Diversity Woman ELITE 100 honorees hold executive and senior-level positions; oversee major global, national, and regional subsidiaries and divisions; and have achieved results—both by increasing or exceeding an organization's bottom line and in enhancing company culture. The industries represented include financial services, banking, media, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, automotive, food and beverage, telecommunications, health care, entertainment, nonprofits, and retail, among others. Nominations came from approximately 250 companies, industry experts, organizations, and peers. Global Finance’s editorial board selects the Private Bank award winners with input from executives and industry insiders. Morehouse College's Bennie Leadership and Service Award
Nominees for this award are sourced through nominations made by past honorees, faculty, senior staff and trustees of Morehouse College. Nominators provide a statement of support indicating why they feel the nominee is worthy of receiving the Bennie Award. Additional support documents (newspaper or magazine articles or other pertinent support materials) are encouraged. Once the candidates are vetted by a committee, names are presented to the Morehouse College President and honorees are finalized.

Washingtonian's Washington, DC’s Best Financial Advisers
This list of financial advisers includes three different categories: the area’s top financial advisers, marked with a “Top Financial Advisor” badge, “top producers” at local banks and brokerages, and sponsors. The process to determine each set of names differed. To arrive at the names of the area’s 375 top financial advisers—the fee-only financial planners, fee-based advisers, estate attorneys, tax accountants, and insurance advisers marked with a “Top Financial Advisor” tag—we distributed surveys to hundreds of people who work in the local financial industry. We asked them whom they would trust with their own money. We also did our own research, consulting industry experts and publications. The “Top Financial Advisor” names on this list are the people who received the strongest recommendations. Most of the 375 “Top Financial Advisors” are at smaller, independent firms. The surveying process does not turn up as many names at large banks and brokerages. One reason is that banks and brokerages sometimes keep more work in-house—and if a financial adviser isn’t referring clients to outside professionals, that adviser might not have a network that earns peer votes. Some clients prefer working with smaller wealth-management firms, while others may want their money handled by a big institution such as a Wells Fargo or Morgan Stanley. So, to offer names of the area’s top bank wealth advisers, we asked banks and brokerages to tell us the individuals with the most assets under management, or AUM. The bank wealth advisers on this list—marked by a “top producer” badge—were provided by each institution. While having the most assets under management doesn’t necessarily mean an adviser is right for you, it probably does mean the person is doing something right.
Washingtonian's Wealth Advisers Hall of Fame
This list consists of individuals who have been named one of Washingtonian’s Top Wealth Advisers multiple times and have earned a place among a most elite group of peers celebrated as “the best of the best” in the publication. The Hall of Fame Top Wealth Advisors list is composed simply of financial advisers who have been on the list in the past, for numerous years.
Yahoo! Finance Empower Role Models
Diversity and inclusion membership organization INvolve, with support from Yahoo Finance, sought out to highlight those in the business industry who have continued the good work. The 2022 EMpower Ethnic Minority Executives ranking celebrates 100 people of color who are leading by example and removing barriers on the pathway to success for ethnic minority employees. The 20 highest achieving executives have been ranked while the remaining 80 are celebrated in no particular order, reflecting the achievements of each individual. All of the ethnic minority leaders were nominated by peers and colleagues. Nominations were reviewed by EMpower’s judging panel, including former head of Yahoo Finance UK and now director of creative content development for Yahoo, Lianna Brinded. Each person on the list was scored on the influence of their role, their impact on ethnic minority inclusion inside and outside the workplace, and their business achievements.
