Queen of the Mountain: A Conversation with Lhakpa Sherpa

Raised in a Himalayan village, Lhakpa Sherpa, also known as “Mountain Queen,” broke barriers in the sport of mountaineering, climbing a record-breaking number of 10 Everest summits, the most of any woman. Her climbs hold personal significance and have greatly impacted the mountaineering world. Lhakpa shared her inspiring story, offering advice to women in non-traditional fields and discussing her future plans to empower people through adventure. Her journey is a testament to resilience and determination, inspiring others worldwide to pursue their dreams.
