Hyejin (Jina) Jeon
Vice President and Private Banker in the Hong Kong office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank.
Ms. Jeon joined J.P. Morgan Private Bank in June 2021. She advises ultra-high net worth clients in Hong Kong on their investment needs across asset classes, wealth planning, credit, philanthropic services, and complex capital market strategy in partnership with the Investment Bank. She has a focus on covering single family offices and entrepreneurs.
In addition to her primary role, Ms. Jeon represents the Asia Private Bank on the Innovation Economy Committee working with representatives of the Investment & Corporate Bank to grow the coverage of venture and growth series companies. In addition, being an advocate for action on climate change, she is a core group member of the private bank’s Asia Sustainable Investing workgroup. Ms. Jeon has also been key member of various committees organizing the Asia Private Bank’s signature events such as J.P. Morgan Tech Exchange in 2021 and 2022, Global Family Office Circle in Asia, and 40x40.
Prior to J.P. Morgan, Ms. Jeon was a team head in the Global Banking division of HSBC, managing a team of relationship managers with a focus on the coverage of Multi-National Corporations in the Consumer & Retail sector (including consumer tech) across Asia Pacific. She started her career with HSBC as a graduate analyst in 2011 in Seoul and relocated to Hong Kong end of 2013.
Ms. Jeon earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Yonsei University (Seoul), majoring in Economics and minor in Business Administration.
During her childhood, Ms. Jeon lived with her family in the Dominican Republic for 14 years. She is fluent in English, Korean, Spanish and beginner French. She is a wine enthusiast and has completed the WSET Level 3 course. She is also active in sports, has completed a charity half-marathon run, and regularly practices different sports and workouts.
