Akshay Das
Akshay Das leads J.P. Morgan’s U.S. Private Bank & Wealth Management client structuring and trading efforts in cross-asset derivatives and structured investments. Akshay manages a team of derivatives professionals with a focus on providing advice to clients across both sides of their balance sheet, with market and product-based views to consider risk-reward profiles, and robust execution covering global derivatives and structured investments markets.
Akshay has more than 25 years of experience in the sales and trading of interest rate and cross-asset derivative products across the spectrum of cash, futures, derivatives and structured products. Prior to re-joining J.P. Morgan in early 2017, Akshay was Senior Managing Director at Amherst Pierpont Securities from 2011 where he managed the overall U.S. Rates sales and trading businesses across market-making and proprietary trading. Previous to that, Akshay was a Managing Director in the Institutional Rates group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and worked for 9 years at Chase Manhattan Bank/J.P. Morgan Securities where his responsibilities included derivatives and rates sales and structuring for the firm’s institutional client base.
Akshay received his undergraduate degree from Drexel University and his M.B.A. from Columbia University.
When not focusing on derivatives markets, Akshay can often be found coaching his daughters’ travel and recreational softball teams, in addition to serving as a board member on his town’s Little League Board.
