John Beggans is a Managing Director and Head of Investments at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Boston. He is responsible for managing investments for ultra-high-net-worth families, endowments and foundations.
John joined J.P. Morgan in 2001 and has 19 years of investment and relationship management experience. Previously, he was Head of Institutional Equity Sales at the J.P. Morgan Investment Bank (ranked #1 by Bloomberg). In this role, John was responsible for providing strategic investment advice to the largest Boston-based portfolio managers. Additional responsibilities included raising equity proceeds for the firm’s corporate clients such as General Motors, Visa, Dunkin' Donuts and LinkedIn. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, John was a Managing Director and Boston Equity Sales Manager for ABN-Amro, where he helped facilitate the integration with The Chicago Corporation.
John holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation, the Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. His philanthropic interests are focused on Type I diabetes research. He is actively involved in the Joslin Diabetes Center, and serves as a member of the board of directors for JDRF NE Chapter. John earned his B.S. from Villanova University.
