Eric Smith is an Executive Director, Banker and Co-Head of J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank office in Salt Lake City, advising successful individuals, families, and family offices throughout Utah.
Eric partners with his clients to identify and articulate their unique personal and financial goals, for which he then develops tailored solutions that mirror their intent. Eric brings his clients the Private Bank’s full range of concierge banking, lending, investing and estate services, accessing specialists throughout the firm to deliver the best of what J.P. Morgan has to offer. A trusted guide and advocate to his clients, Eric is always reachable, and service is his top priority.
Eric was first drawn to J.P. Morgan in 2010, attracted by the firm’s collegial culture and deep bench of talent and resources, and he has remained with the Private Bank ever since. He began his career as an Analyst in the firm’s Denver office, and most recently he was instrumental in establishing the Salt Lake City office.
Eric graduated with a B.S. in Management from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM and holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses from FINRA. He also sits on the advisory board of BioUtah, a nonprofit trade organization supporting the state’s healthcare industry. A Colorado native, Eric now loves skiing on the Utah side of the Rockies. He also enjoys volunteering through his church, and spending quality time with his wife and two children.
