Olivier de Givenchy oversees J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s offices in California, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. He is also Chairman of the West Market Leadership Team and the California Working Group. His team offers innovative solutions and advice to help clients grow and preserve wealth over generations.
Previously, Olivier was the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of J.P. Morgan Private Bank in the United Kingdom. He began his career in financial services in New York in 1985 and, since joining J.P. Morgan in 1993, has served in several leadership roles, including Head of JPMorgan Private Bank for the UK, Ireland, The Nordics and South Africa, and sat on the board of JPMorgan EMEA Operating Committee.
Olivier is part of founding team for the Blue Marine Yacht Club in 2011 and serves as Ambassador of The Blue Marine Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting our oceans. Additionally, he serves as lifetime Vice President for Children in Crisis, where as Chairman of the Board he played a key role in developing strategies to source meaningful educational opportunities for children in countries affected by conflict.
Currently, Olivier chairs the Board of Directors of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which advances the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema through inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, initiatives, and collections. He is also a member of the Paul Getty Museum Director’s Council, a world-renowned institution committed to exhibiting, conserving, and understanding the world’s artistic and cultural heritage through all forms of visual art. Olivier’s love and respect for the arts, including cinema, is reflected in his work on these boards. In both roles, he aims to increase awareness and access to cultural arts while preserving them for future generations to appreciate. He leverages his experience in expansion and market growth to strategize around reaching a broader audience for both museums.
Following the fires which have decimated parts of Los Angeles, Olivier joined SteadFast LA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the rebuilding of Los Angeles. By bringing together top leaders, bold ideas, and effective solutions, SteadFast LA aims to facilitate efficient and impactful recovery. Olivier contributes his financial expertise and extensive network at J.P. Morgan to help brainstorm potential solutions, demonstrating his commitment to both client service and community support.
Olivier earned his B.A. in Political Science from Manhattanville College.
