
Erica Carpenter is a Managing Director and the Head of Investments and Advice for the Rocky Mountain Region for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Erica oversees the Rockies’ investments business and a team of investment specialists who work with clients to develop personalized investment strategies and who provide advice on portfolio construction, asset allocation, manager selection, opportunistic trading and hedging strategies across both public and private markets.
Erica has been a key member of the Rocky Mountain investment team for the last 19 years, and she is responsible for over $5B of client positions. Erica works directly with clients to help them meet their complex financial objectives and advises them though their most critical financial moments. She has extensive experience working with entrepreneurs and public company executives and is a go-to resource for pre- and post-transaction planning and concentrated stock positions.
Erica has also been active nationally for the Private Bank including serving several years on Advisory Council for the USPB CEO, serving as a member of a weekly global investment strategy and opportunistic ideas committee and as a West Women’s Investor Ambassador. Erica was also recognized as one of the Denver Business Journal's 2024 "Outstanding Women in Business".
Erica graduated summa cum laude from DePauw University, where she received a B.A. in Economics with an emphasis in Business and Management. Erica is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder®.
Erica lives in Denver with her husband, Charlie and their children, Lilah, Lucas, and Matthew.
