Biografía
Jamie Hills is an Executive Director and Market Team Lead at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, serving affluent individuals and families in the greater Grand Rapids area. In his leadership role, Jamie heads a group of Bankers and Specialists to deliver strategies that address the sophisticated opportunities of wealth. He plays an essential part in driving engagement and impact to expand J.P. Morgan’s presence in the region.
Jamie connects with local representatives, strategic partners, lines of business and key stakeholders to share the tremendous resources of the firm, making a big organization feel small and intimate. He fosters an environment of excellence, attracting new talent and developing a pathway for his team to remain at the forefront of innovative ideas. Jamie’s strength lies in his ability to motivate people and develop the skills that help each individual succeed. Trustworthy and down-to-earth, he resolves clients’ challenges and removes obstacles that stand in their ways.
Throughout a career at J.P. Morgan that began in 2005, Jamie has risen from Banker and Financial Advisor to senior positions within the firm. Before joining the Private Bank, he was a Market Director for the Private Client channel in the same area. He is a member of the West Michigan Market Leadership Team and shares the group’s excitement for watching Grand Rapids grow, develop and embrace new frontiers.
Originally from England, Jamie earned a B.A. with Honours from the University of West London. In 1999, he moved to the United States, recruited to a job at a resort on Mackinac Island, where he met his future wife. They have been residents of Grand Rapids since 2001 and find it a phenomenal place to raise their two teenage boys.
Jamie has now lived in Michigan for as long as he was in England, and believes strongly in giving back to the community he has embraced. He has volunteered with Toys for Tots and is heavily involved as a soccer coach for his sons’ teams. In his free time, Jamie likes to golf, go to the beaches on Lake Michigan and travel to Europe to visit family.
