How to wire money
Easily wire funds within the United States or internationally and view real-time FX rates with J.P. Morgan Online℠ and the J.P Morgan Mobile® App.¹
Wire limits can be customized based on payment needs, and wires are processed the same day if scheduled before 4 PM E.T.
*Please note that wires are non-reversible.*
Here’s how to get started:
Wire funds within the United States or internationally, and view real-time FX rates.
Note: For authorized user / sub-users to use the feature, the system administrator must first enroll in the service and then set up and entitle the sub-users to the feature.
- Sign in to JPMorganOnline.com
- Select “Pay & transfer”
- Select “Wires & global transfers”
- Or: Depending on your account, select “Enroll now” beneath “Wires & global transfers”
- Read the terms and conditions, check the box to accept them, and select “Next”
- (If requested to select an account): Choose your checking account, and tap “Next”
- Now let’s add a recipient (or select “Cancel” to add a recipient later)
- Choose the phone number to which you’d like to receive the activation code for adding a recipient
- Select “Next,” and enter the code
- Review tips to protect yourself from fraud, and tap “Next”
- Provide the recipient’s country, bank and account information
- Optional: If you need to include “For further credit” or “For the benefit of” information (when wiring to a investment or brokerage account) – please indicate this and provide the recipient’s name and account information in the “Additional routing info” section
- For example: “FFC: John Smith 12345678”. You cannot edit this information after you have saved your recipient. Instead, you would need to delete and re-add the recipient
- Optional: If you need to include “For further credit” or “For the benefit of” information (when wiring to a investment or brokerage account) – please indicate this and provide the recipient’s name and account information in the “Additional routing info” section
- Select “Next”
- Provide your recipient’s details (name, nickname, country, address)
- Select “Next”
- Confirm details and select “Add recipient”
- Sign in to JPMorganOnline.com
- Select “Pay & transfer”
- Select “Wires & global transfers”
- Or: Select “Schedule wire” below “Wires & global transfers, depending on your account type
- Select “Send money” next to your desired recipient
- Or: Select “Add recipient” to provide a new contact and follow prompts. See instructions for adding a new recipient in the previous steps, if needed
- Tell us the account you would like to wire funds from
- Optionally: Toggle on “Make this a repeating wire” if you would like to schedule this wire to repeat on a frequency you indicate
- Enter the wire amount, date, and additional information
- Select “Next”
- Please review details carefully, as wires are non-reversible
- To complete, review details, and select “Schedule Wire"
- Sign in to JPMorganOnline.com
- Select “Pay & transfer”
- Select “Wires & global transfers”
- Or: Select “Schedule wire” below “Wires & global transfers, depending on your account type
- Select “Schedule Wire” and then select your existing recipient
- Or: Select “Add recipient” to provide a new contact and follow prompts. See instructions for adding a new recipient in the previous steps, if needed
- Select the account you would like to wire funds from, enter the wire amount, the date you would like the wire sent on, and any additional information
- Enter any additional information, and select “Next”
- Please review details carefully, as wires are non-reversible
- To complete, review the details, and select “Schedule Wire”

- Or: Tap “Add recipient” to provide a new contact and follow prompts. See instructions for adding a new recipient in the previous steps, if needed
- Tell us the account you would like to wire funds from
- Enter the wire amount
- Optional: Toggle on for “Make this a repeating wire,” and set your payment frequency and wire date
- Enter any additional information, and tap "Next"
- Please review details carefully, as wires are non-reversible
- To complete, tap "Schedule Wire" then "Close"
- Sign in to the J.P. Morgan Mobile app
- Tap "Pay & Transfer"
- Or: Tap “Pay & collect”, depending on your account type
- Tap "Wires & global transfers"
- Tap “Schedule Wire” and then select your existing recipient
- Or: Tap “Add recipient” to provide a new contact and follow prompts. See instructions for adding a new recipient in the previous steps, if needed
- Tap the account you would like to wire funds from, enter the wire amount, the date you would like the wire sent on, and any additional information
