William Bowers is an Executive Director and Market Team Lead in the Oklahoma City office at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He leads a team of bankers delivering integrated wealth management and investment strategies for high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families across Oklahoma. In a market as diverse as the state itself, Will and his team advise clients ranging from ranchers to C-suite executives and entrepreneurs, with a focus on building long-term relationships. As a senior leader, he helps drive J.P. Morgan’s growth and impact in the community.
Will brings a team-oriented, consultative style designed to help clients make confident decisions through every stage of life and business. He is known for a holistic, goals-based approach that seeks to optimize the full balance sheet and deliver tax-efficient guidance, while coordinating closely with specialists and clients’ external advisors. Grounded in trust, his process emphasizes thoughtful planning, ongoing communication and proactive stewardship of what matters most to each client and family.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Will most recently served as SVP and Market Executive at Bank of Oklahoma Private Wealth, coordinating wealth management functions across the Oklahoma City leadership team and serving as a primary liaison to high-net-worth clients across financial planning, investments, trust services, banking and insurance advisory. Before joining BOK Financial in 2018, he spent six years as a wealth advisor with LPL Financial and Merrill Lynch, delivering comprehensive planning, investment management and insurance strategies to high-net-worth clients. Earlier, Will served 10 years on active duty as a U.S. Navy Officer, including as an aircraft and mission commander on the E-6B Mercury, leading 20-person aircrews and planned and executed over 300 missions, including essential communication links for ground forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom and later as an instructor pilot, providing more than 1,000 hours of instruction in aerial refueling, instrument flight rules, aircraft systems, emergency procedures and navigation on Boeing 707 and 737 aircraft.
Will holds a B.S. in Business Administration from The Citadel and an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University. He serves on the Board of Advisors at Oklahoma City University and is Secretary of the Police Athletic League. Will volunteers at his son’s school, supports transitioning military veterans and mentors youth as a boxing coach through the Police Athletic League.
Outside the office, William and his wife, Dr. Kelly—who helps train ER physicians at Integris Southwest Medical Center—stay busy with their son, Jackson and their two dogs. He also enjoys combining family time, the outdoors and fitness.
