
TJ Slavin is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and the Market Head of Investments for the Financial Sponsors Group. In his senior leadership role, TJ is responsible for leading the Group’s investment efforts in providing comprehensive and holistic investment advice to senior founding private equity partners and their families. He directs a group of Investment Specialists to guide these clients in making holistic wealth management decisions necessitated by their complex financial scenarios.
TJ ensures his team remains at the forefront of world-class investment and wealth management advice designed specifically for financial sponsors. He continues to serve clients directly and develops multi-asset-class investment strategies that consider the impacts of tax and estate planning and are customized to each individual’s particular financial picture. His process is steeped in research and analysis, and he strives to understand the intricacies of each client’s personal situation while leveraging his background through multiple market cycles to drive high-impact outcomes.
With more than two decades of experience, TJ’s strengths include macroeconomic research and analysis, portfolio construction, and strategic and tactical asset allocation. He excels at managing capital on behalf of some of the world’s wealthiest and complex private equity partners and their families. He joined J.P. Morgan in 2005 and plays an influential part in setting the strategic direction of the firm.
TJ earned an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University and a B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA® Institute.
A resident of Fair Haven, New Jersey, TJ enjoys spending his time with his wife and sons, both at the beach and traveling.
