Rory Doyle

Rory Doyle is a Managing Director and Head of Investments and Advice in the Los Angeles office at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He leads a team of Investment Specialists who deliver advice and portfolio solutions to private clients, drawing on the firm’s global platform across both public and private markets. Rory is responsible for setting strategic priorities for the Los Angeles market and collaborating with investment leaders across the firm to bring timely ideas and capabilities to clients.

In his multifaceted role, Rory fosters a culture of empowerment, ensuring his team has the tools and resources to stay at the forefront of innovative thinking. He also advises a select group of sophisticated clients, providing recommendations on portfolio construction, asset allocation, manager selection, opportunistic trading, and hedging strategies aligned with long-term goals. Rory leverages the firm’s global resources and connects clients with relevant specialists to help address complex balance sheets and evolving investment needs.

With over 20 years of industry experience, Rory has spent the past decade at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Los Angeles and New York. Most recently, he served as an Investment Specialist in the Los Angeles office, advising clients and implementing multi-asset investment strategies tailored to their goals. Previously, he was Head of Alternative Investments for the West Region, advising family offices, endowments and foundations, and private clients on constructing portfolios across hedge funds, private equity, private debt, and real estate. Earlier, based in New York, he led Event Driven and Diversified Hedge Fund due diligence for the Private Bank. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Rory was Head of Event Driven Strategies at Cliffwater LLC,
an $80 billion investment advisor for institutional investors.

Rory holds a MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and a B.A. with Honors from Eugene Lang College. He is an active supporter of Children’s Minnesota in Minneapolis, Cancer Support Community of Los Angeles and Alex’s Lemonade. He is also a member of the Parent Welcoming Committee of The Buckley School in
Los Angeles.

Rory lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter. Outside of work, he is an avid runner, enjoys international travel, and is a long-suffering fan of the New York Knicks.
