Peter J. Donchez

Peter J. Donchez is a Managing Director and Head of Investments & Advice for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New Jersey. In this role, he leads a talented team of investment specialists and advisors who provide tailored guidance to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, foundations and senior executives on a range of financial matters, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, equities, fixed income and alternative investments.
Pete has been a key member of the New Jersey Team since joining as an Associate in 2012, after his tenure as an Analyst in the Global Families Group at the International Private Bank. Before his transition to the U.S. Private Banking business and focus on the tri-state area, he spent two years with the Private Bank’s Global Clients Group in New York, where he supported many of the firm’s largest and most complex international clients. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Peter worked in Corporate Finance at IBM Global Finance.
Pete has served on the Private Bank’s U.S. Advisory Council, advising on business trends, opportunities and challenges. Within his region, he has held several leadership positions, including on the Private Bank’s Advice Council—a think tank focused on the intersection of investments, trusts and estates, tax and policy. He has also played a key role in the firm’s national talent initiatives, overseeing the recruitment, development and retention of teams of analysts.
Peter has been named two times to the Morgan Circle, a select group of Private Bank advisors recognized for delivering exceptional outcomes for their clients.
Peter earned a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University. He resides in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, with his wife and four daughters.
