
Matthew Vamvakis is a Managing Director, Senior Banker and the US Head of Passions and Pursuits Advisory. In these roles, Matt has both client coverage and business leadership responsibilities. He helped formally establish the Passions and Pursuits Advisory practice in 2021 and continues to guide its ongoing strategic direction and implementation.
Matt also leads a team of professionals who share responsibility for advising ultra-high net worth families, senior executives, private business owners, foundations, and endowments on a variety of matters – including asset allocation and investment portfolio construction, capital and liquidity strategies, and wealth transfer opportunities and implementation. He works with individuals to help them pursue their passions and offers clients actionable and tailored guidance according to their needs.
Prior to joining the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Matt was a strategy & operations management consultant at Deloitte Consulting LLP, a program manager at Wells Fargo, and served in the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House. Matt is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received his Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Boys State Foundation, he holds a private pilot license, and lives in Summit, New Jersey with his wife and two sons.
