
Lauren Burrick Kessler
Lauren Kessler is a Managing Director and the Head of Client Service, Experience and Development at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. As a senior leader of the firm, Lauren oversees core teams that provide sophisticated and exceptional client service, drive new business, and create thoughtful experiences for clients and colleagues across the United States.
Lauren plays a vital role in advancing the firm’s largest growth initiatives across the U.S. Private Bank. Her goal is to enhance the delivery of a first-class client experience at all interactions to help individuals, families and funds grow and preserve their wealth. Her teams enable clients to maximize the features and benefits of their private bank relationship. Lauren’s responsibilities include overseeing the management, training, coaching, and career development of her team members, while delivering best-in-class client and employee experiences that are scalable and efficient.
Lauren has spent her 15-year career at J.P. Morgan and has built an impressive capability set that includes business development, strategy, and critical thinking. She began her career as an analyst on the New York Financial Institutions Group and joined the Northern California team as a business management & strategy associate in 2013. She relocated back to New York in 2016 to lead a group that worked with the Chief Executive Officer and Operating Committee on growth and expansion efforts. As part of her current role, she is a member of the U.S. Private Bank Leadership Team.
A graduate of Cornell University, Lauren received a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Scott, and young daughters, Lucy and Tess. To relax, she likes to practice yoga and spend time with her family outdoors. As an extension of her work to help align client challenges with appropriate strategies, Lauren formerly served as an Advisor to Modsy, a 3D interior design start-up based in San Francisco.
