
Martinez is an Executive Director and Banker in the Orlando office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In this role, Mr. Martinez delivers wide ranging financial advice across investments, credit, banking, fiduciary, and estate planning for clients throughout Florida.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Martinez was a Director in the Public Finance Group at PNC Capital Markets and established the firm’s Florida office. He was responsible for transacting all facets of municipal bond issuance, generating over $4.8 billion of negotiated bond transactions. Previously, he was a co-founder of Benchmark Securities, a municipal trading and underwriting broker-dealer. Also during this time, Mr. Martinez served on the Orange County Board of County Commissioners, where he was appointed to represent District 3. Before working in financial services, Mr. Martinez practiced law with Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. in Orlando.
A native of Orlando, Mr. Martinez earned a B.A. degree from Wake Forest University and a J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law. He is on the Board of Trustees for Valencia College and serves on the board of directors for a variety of community organizations, including the Central Florida Foundation, the Orlando Museum of Art, the Central Florida YMCA, and the Central Florida Fair. He is a member of the Florida Bar and holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 53 and 63 licenses. Mr. Martinez resides in Orlando with his wife and two daughters.
