
Jake Furlow is an Executive Director and Market Team Lead at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, covering the Pacific Central Coast. Jake directs a talented group of Bankers in providing sophisticated wealth management strategies to some of the region’s most successful entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, families and institutions. His focus is on scaling the resources of an industry leader to a local level so that clients can fulfill their purposes and leave legacies for the next generation.
In his leadership role, Jake plays an influential part in enhancing J.P. Morgan’s impact and growth in the community. He fosters a culture of empowerment, providing his team with the tools and resources to help clients accomplish their important goals—tax mitigation, personal liquidity, lifestyle considerations, charitable giving, wealth transfer and more.
Jake continues to serve a select group of private business owners, offering strategic guidance through the sale, transfer or recapitalization of their enterprises. He invests himself in each individual’s story to learn how they want their wealth to impact their lifestyle, their family and the causes they hold dear.
Throughout a nearly 25-year career steeped in investment management, Jake has earned a reputation for his focus on the decision-making process, a talent for simplifying complex concepts and his drive to deliver first-class service. He began on the floor of the Chicago Stock Exchange, and over the next decade worked with institutional investors such as hedge fund and mutual fund managers. In 2012, Jake segued to private wealth management, using the strength of this background for high-net-worth individuals and families. He joined J.P. Morgan in 2019 as a Banker.
Jake holds a B.A. in History from the University of California at Los Angeles and is a member of the UCLA Alumni Association. He lives with his wife and three children in Westlake Village, where his family is a stakeholder in the community, and he is heavily engaged in the local high school football world. Jake is a mentor with J.P. Morgan’s Fellowship Institute. To relax, he enjoys reading, golfing and surfing.
