J.T. Aughinbaugh
J.T. Aughinbaugh is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. As the Head of the Fort Worth market, he leads a team of Bankers and Specialists in delivering holistic wealth management advice to some of the most prominent clients in the area, including affluent individuals and their families, business owners, corporate executives and other professionals.
Having been a successful Banker for almost 20 years, J.T. brings an insightful perspective on the need to continually enhance the client experience. He serves as a mentor and coach, developing a pathway for his team to remain at the forefront of innovative ideas. He is known for his sincere desire to help others prosper and has established an inclusive culture that empowers colleagues to thrive together.
J.T. is proud of the firm’s affiliation with excellence that dates back 150 years to a predecessor institution, the first chartered bank in Fort Worth. He plays an active role in continuing this heritage, guiding J.P. Morgan to expand its presence alongside the economic growth in the community.
Most of J.T.’s career has been spent at the Private Bank, supporting the needs of ultra-high-net-worth clients. His role enables him to balance a love of fast-paced environments while working with top-caliber partners who share a passion for serving clients.
J.T. received a B.B.A. in Finance and an M.B.A. from Texas Christian University. He played offensive line for the Horned Frogs football team and is a former President of the TCU Lettermen’s Association. He is also a member of the TCU Frog Club Advisory Board, Neeley School of Business Board of Advisors, and TCU Ralph Lowe Energy Institute Board of Advisors.
Philanthropy is one of J.T.’s core values as he has served in leadership with many of Fort Worth’s most prominent non-profit organizations. J.T. is a Director of the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show (Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo) and current member of the board of directors of the University of North Texas Health Science Center Foundation and Baylor Scott & White All Saints Health Foundation. He has also recently served as the Chairman of the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate, Chairman of the James L. West Center for Dementia Care, and Finance Chair of the Presbyterian Night Shelter.
J.T. lives in Fort Worth with his wife, Charity, and daughters, Libby, Margaret and Claire. He enjoys being outdoors, whether at youth sports games, working together around the house, or hunting, fishing and spending time at the family ranch in West Texas.
