Cynthia Hwang
Cynthia Hwang is an Executive Director and Banker in the Seattle office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Cynthia advises successful individuals, multi-generational families and entrepreneurs, helping them to navigate the complex needs that come with significant wealth. She partners closely with each client and takes immense pride in being a trusted advisor on their financial journey.
Cynthia invests the time to understand each client’s unique situation and aspirations, constructing a comprehensive wealth plan that harnesses the immense breadth of J.P. Morgan’s best-in-class services—financial and estate planning, investments, lending and banking. The depth of her business banking background also makes her well-qualified to advise individuals who are building an enterprise, transitioning a business or experiencing a significant life event.
Over the course of her almost 20-year banking career, Cynthia has developed a keen understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by founders and entrepreneurs. With experience at J.P. Morgan that dates back to 2007, Cynthia has spent most of her professional life focused on helping small and mid-sized business owners manage the entirety of their balance sheets. In addition to her current role, she has held Senior Relationship Manager and Business Banking Area Manager positions.
Cynthia has a B.A. in Marketing, Finance and International Business from University of Washington, and attended Gonzaga University Graduate School of Business.
Always passionate about making a difference in the Seattle community where she has lived her entire life, Cynthia is an active board member of Eastside Baby Corner, an organization that collects, buys and distributes clothing and other essential goods to underprivileged children and their families.
Cynthia and her husband reside on Mercer Island with their two young children. She speaks fluent Mandarin, practices daily yoga, is addicted to her Peloton, and was formerly a concert-level pianist and violinist. She enjoys spending time with her family, often traveling, biking or hiking.
