Craig Cohen is a Managing Director and Investment Specialist within the Global Investment Opportunities Group (GIO). Craig advises some of the firm’s largest and most complex clients in formulating insightful and actionable investment strategies that aim to enhance portfolio performance and support their financial objectives.
As part of the Global Investment Opportunities group, Craig specializes in multi-asset class coverage, including both public and private markets, for sophisticated ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices and hedge funds. His skillset spans across cross-asset class trading, portfolio construction and risk management. He provides broad insights, innovative ideas, and bespoke strategies from his extensive experience working with institutional clients and family offices for more than a decade.
Prior to joining GIO, he worked on the Macro and FICC strategy team where he was responsible for formulating outlooks around commodities, and the broader macro outlook. He also generated strategic implementations for clients across asset classes to leverage these views. Prior to that, he worked on the FX, Commodities, and Rates desk where he identified tactical trade ideas as well as traded cash and derivative products across those asset classes. Additionally, he served as a member of the Capital Markets Investment Group and the Global Markets Council, where he helped to formulate investment views and identify brokerage opportunities across these asset classes.
He writes “Bacon, Craig, and Cheese” a daily note highlighting topical cross-asset market developments and economic trends. He served as the inaugural co-chair of Trade Exchange, a weekly forum designed to discuss tactical brokerage opportunities across markets.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Craig traded foreign exchange and produced tactical macro commentary for over a decade at the Royal Bank of Scotland, Nomura, and Lehman Brothers.
