Breda Blake is a Managing Director and Investment Specialist at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Breda partners closely with some of the most successful families, endowments, foundations and family offices in the San Diego area to help them articulate the intent for their wealth and design customized plans toward these important priorities. She serves as a powerful gateway to the firm’s intellectual strength, delivering it in a holistic and local manner.

Breda draws on her significant experience in this space to build bespoke investment strategies across public and private markets that span fixed income, equities, hedge funds, private equity, real estate and other complex vehicles. For clients involved in transaction planning, she helps them determine appropriate structuring for assets, title considerations and more. She is known for her detail orientation, responsiveness and ability to meet clients at their levels of financial sophistication.

With a professional career that began at UBS Wealth Management in Melbourne and London, Breda has built a foundation in asset allocation, portfolio construction, investment management and equity analysis. She joined J.P. Morgan a decade ago to serve high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients across the United Kingdom. In 2019, Breda was tapped to help launch the Private Bank’s Investment practice in San Diego, building the team, ensuring a robust, local footprint and networking with stakeholders in the community. She sits on the internal board of the DE&I Council and is a member of Women on the Move.

Originally from Ireland, Breda earned a B.Sc. in Finance and an M.Sc. in Corporate Finance & Accounting from University College Cork. She is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of San Diego and the CFA Institute. In 2022, she was named as a finalist on the San Diego Business Journal’s 40 Next Top Business Leaders Under 40 list.

Breda resides in San Diego with her husband, daughter and son. She is an avid traveler who loves adventure and exploring new places.
