Bola Oyesanya
Bolanle (Bola) Oyesanya is a Managing Director and the Head of the Law Firm Group at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. As a senior leader of the firm, Bola directs a team of professional Bankers and other specialists to address the wealth management needs of prominent individuals in the legal industry. She positions her group as the first call for any financial matter, curating tailored strategies on both sides of the balance sheet that enable these clients to remain focused on their busy professional lives.
Bola works in partnership across the bank to deliver the strength of J.P. Morgan directly to her sophisticated clients, and in turn to their clients. Together with her team, she addresses a range of complex goals—investment portfolios, tax and estate planning, liquidity options, financing vehicles and risk management. Bola draws from her relationship-building skills and a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion to serve as an exemplary leader who develops the individual talents of her team. Her authenticity, integrity and desire to make a lasting impact drive her to convey excellence and empathy for clients while inspiring the best in others.
Over the course of her career, Bola has developed a reputation for the attention she brings to each scenario. She spent more than 20 years at Citi Private Bank, where she rose through the ranks, most recently as the Global Market Manager of the New York Region for the Law Firm Group. In her senior role, Bola was a trusted advisor to individuals, families and institutions handling multibillion-dollar transactions. She has a long history in this space, and acts as a sounding board for complicated deals.
Bola graduated with law degrees from Lagos Law School and Ogun State University. She began her career as a banking officer at Citi Trust Merchant Bank Limited in Lagos, Nigeria. She was on the board of Raise the Children International, a South African–based not-for-profit whose mission is to open doors of opportunity where others fail to knock.
A resident of Dix Hills, New York, Bola loves to travel with her family. She sees this as an opportunity to expose her daughter to different cultures so that she may be humbled by the unique stories of others.
