
Ashley Herbst is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. As the Head of the Dallas Market, Ashley directs a team of over 100 Bankers and specialists to present a full range of wealth management strategies to affluent families and foundations in the greater Dallas area, East Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. She draws on almost two decades of industry experience and her deep ties in the community to play an influential role in driving J.P. Morgan’s impact and brand visibility.
Previously, Ashley served as a Banker in both Boston and Dallas, delivering wealth management strategies to some of the firm’s most sophisticated clients. She sits on the Dallas Leadership Team, providing executive guidance to integrate J.P. Morgan’s lines of business.
Before joining the Private Bank in 2011, Ashley actively invested in family-owned businesses as an investment professional at 3i Group, a London-based global private equity firm managing over $20 billion in assets. Earlier, she was a Leveraged Finance Group Analyst at Wachovia Securities in Charlotte, North Carolina, originating and syndicating leveraged loans and high-yield issuances for middle-market businesses.
Ashley earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where she was honored with the J. Leslie Rollins Award for outstanding contribution to the Harvard community. At Princeton University, she received an A.B. and was a member of the Varsity Rowing Team.
Throughout her life, Ashley has been an enthusiastic proponent of the arts and a tireless supporter of educational opportunities for young girls and women. Her activism is evident from her role as Trustee of the Winsor School and the Pokhrama Foundation.
Ashley resides in Dallas with her husband, Peter, and their two young children, Emma and James.
