
Andrew W. Smith is an Executive Director and Team Lead for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. As a member of the Greater Florida Leadership Team, Andrew plays an influential part in driving the firm’s impact and brand visibility by overseeing the strategic direction for the Tampa Bay and Sarasota markets.
Andrew and his team of private bankers are responsible for partnering with some of the region’s most successful entrepreneurs and institutions to provide personalized advice across asset classes, including hedge funds, private equity, alternative investments, and real estate. By using a holistic approach, they seek to understand the intent each client has for their wealth and then align resources to create an implementation plan that considers unique goals, risk tolerances, liquidity needs, and investing styles.
Andrew is an ambassador for J.P. Morgan and has served in director, leadership, and advisory roles with many local organizations, including the Tampa Bay Chamber, Tampa Bay Wave, Leadership Florida, Junior League of Tampa, the Jesuit High School Foundation, and the Florida State University College of Law. Andrew has been named a 40 Under 40 Honoree by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and Business Observer and Tampa Bay Emerging Leader of the Year.
Andrew joins J.P. Morgan from Goldman Sachs, where he was a Vice President and Private Wealth Advisor. He holds a J.D. from Florida State University, an M.B.A. from the University of Florida, and a B.S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was named All-American by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Andrew holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
