JERRY LEE: This year is our biggest, in many ways, best Asian-American summit of the last five years. We have over 170 families, over $55 billion of capital represented in the room. And I think this is the room where it happens.
KIRK HADELMAN: I think the strength of an organization like J.P. Morgan is its clients. It's really what lends us our gravity. It allows us to be a big player in private markets. It allows us to be a big player in wealth management. It allows us to bring people together that might not otherwise be sitting next to each other, to collaborate on opportunities that are bigger than any one of us individually.
SANDY CHOUTE: I have the privilege of leading Diverse Wealth Strategies, which helps us create spaces that make our clients feel seen, understood, and valued. And through Asian Wealth Strategies, we're able to explore how culture, personal perspectives, and lived experiences shape people's visions of their wealth and also the legacy that they get to create.
SERENA GORANSSON: There's so many things that make this community so special, these nuances that bring back memories from my childhood, things that my grandmother or my mother would say to me, just these values and truths that are cornerstones of our culture, the way we live.
KATHRYN CONRAD: Being part of Asian Wealth Strategies means impact. For us, covering and deepening the Asian-American community is so important, and being a part of this journey and initiative just means we get to build connections, exchange ideas, and build lasting relationships.
DEEVANA PALAZZOLO: Being a part of the Asian Wealth Strategies is a really perfect combination of bringing my personal and professional life together. After being at the firm for 24 years, I've been able to bring my personal experience as being an immigrant, being South Asian, into my work, and being able to really combine all the wonderful things that we do for families as it relates to investing, wealth planning, trust and estate planning.
DAVE REGAN: This year is different as we're on the forefront of AI. There's been a lot of conversations around what does the next 5 to 10 years look like, and how does that impact their business, how does it impact their family, and how does it impact how they engage with their children in the next gen?
GIRO DEVULAPALLY: The most exciting part of the summit for me is listening to some of the entrepreneurs that have presented this morning. Seeing the companies and the ideas that we think could really shape the future is what's most interesting so far.
MARK DAVINO: There's this level of optimism, this level of excitement that they're just getting started, not only in the event itself, but it seems like the content they're speaking about. So whether it's in the medical field, technology field, entrepreneurship, it just feels like there's a ton of excitement that they're at the early stages of what they're doing.
KATELYN LI: As someone who was born originally from Shanghai and came to the US at a young age, I embody both the American culture but also the true Asian values. And I see so much of that in the clients that we work with today.
SANJAY GAJENDRA: For me, it is about gratification. I do believe that the journey that most of the Asian Americans have is one that always involves being courageous and taking on a lot of challenges and working hard. But for me, it's about now celebrating that, being grateful that we were raised in a certain way.
And here we are being successful. And hopefully being able to inspire the next generation. So I'm grateful for everything that this country has done for us and what our own culture and our own families have done for us to prepare for the opportunities that have come and make it count.
KATELYN LI: As a member of the steering committee, I'm so proud to have been a part of this over these last five years. As an Asian American myself, watching the amount of friendships and connectivities that we have been able to build for our clients, for our colleagues, for the firm at large has been the most rewarding piece of this. Our goal is to bring more of this energy in the years to come and decades to come, so that we can really be there for our clients throughout all of their needs.
GLORIA CHANG-YIP: As this city gathered to celebrate another year's harvest, another vintage, we also gathered our community, one we built together from the very start, and it gives us a chance to come together as one family, to have lived and shared experiences and use that time to connect, ask questions of one another, and learn from one another in an environment that allows for a free-flow exchange of ideas, mentorship, and opportunity for the next generation.
