Terry DuFrene has been with J.P. Morgan for over 24 years working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, foundations and endowments formulating and implementing investment strategies designed to achieve their financial objectives and goals. He joined the New Orleans team from the Houston Private Bank in January of 2011. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Terry worked for Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and Merus Capital Management in San Francisco as a Financial Consultant and Portfolio Manager for nine years.
Terry is a former member of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank U.S. Advisory Council, which works closely with senior management to shape and implement priorities for the firm. He is an active member of the “Opportunity Calls” Strategy Committee that meets weekly to discuss market views and develop timely, opportunistic trade ideas. You will find him frequently quoted by Reuters, CNBC, Times Picayune and CityBusiness.
Terry is on the boards of the New Orleans Ballet Association and Vieux Carré Property Owners, Residents and Associates, a member of the Investment Committee for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, LSU’s Planned Giving Professional Advisory Council, board member and Treasurer of the Vieux Carré Commission Foundation, Finance Council of St. Augustine Catholic Church, ACG Louisiana, the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Louisiana. His favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing and travelling. Terry and his wife, Lynette, live in the French Quarter in New Orleans.
