Ned Walton is an Executive Director and Client Advisor with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Baltimore. He advises some of Maryland’s most successful individuals and families across banking, lending, investing and trust and estate planning.
Ned is responsive and attentive in his role, making himself reachable at any time for questions and advice. He listens carefully to his clients as they discuss the impact they want to have on their families, businesses and communities—now and in the future. From there he works with clients to develop customized plans to help bring their unique vision to life, tapping into the specialists and global resources of J.P. Morgan. Ned’s clients value not only his experience, but also his genuine interest in their lives, a trait he sees as an essential part of his job. A natural helper, Ned strives to give his clients confidence and peace of mind when making financial decisions.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Ned worked at Wilmington Trust as a private client advisor, providing financial strategies to prominent families, entrepreneurs, business owners, endowments and foundations throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to that, he co-founded the executive search firm Stephen James Associates and spearheaded their banking and financial services search team as Practice Director. Ned received a B.A. in History from Frostburg State University. He holds Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses and is a graduate of the Cannon Trust School.
Ned has lived in Baltimore for 20 years, and he is enthusiastic about the city and its opportunities. Active in the community, Ned serves on both the development committee of the Baltimore Community Foundation and the 40th Anniversary committee of the Maryland Food Bank. He also sits on the board of governors for the Maryland Club, where he is an avid squash player. If he’s not catching live music in the city, Ned enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two daughters—traveling to soccer tournaments, the Jersey Shore and the ski slopes of Vermont.
