Joanne Johnson
Joanne E. Johnson is a Managing Director and Senior Wealth Advisor for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Previously, she worked for J.P. Morgan as the Head of the U.S. Private Bank Wealth Advisory group and the Trusts and Estates Group, the Head of the Law Firm Group, and Senior Wealth Advisor in the Northeast.
Joanne specializes in developing strategies for holding, managing and transferring wealth tax efficiently and across generations for the firm’s ultra-high-net-worth clients. Before joining J.P. Morgan, she practiced law at Lane & Mittendorf, Dechert, Price & Rhoads and Brown & Wood. Joanne is a member of both the American Bar Association and the New York Bar Association.
Joanne is a frequent lecturer and author on wealth management issues. She is a regularly quoted source to financial publications including Time, Business Week, Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and the Financial Times. Joanne is also a repeated guest on NBC’s “The Today Show” and on CNBC’s “Power Lunch,” and has appeared on Fox News’s “Cavuto Business Report” and CBS’s “Market Watch,” among others.
She is a member of the Bankers and Lawyers Advisory Committee of the New York Philharmonic and the Professional Advisors Committees of the Museum of Modern Art, the New York City Ballet, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Metropolitan Museum of Art and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Joanne is a co-chair of the Wilson Society Advisory Council for the Hospital of Special Surgery. She is a member of the Board of Fellows of Trinity College, a founder of its Women’s Leadership Council and Vice Chair of its Legacy Campaign.
