Katy Lingle
Katherine Knipp Lingle is a Managing Director and the U.S. Head of Lending Solutions at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In her senior leadership position, Katy runs the strategic lending practice managing over $300Bn of available credit to families and financial institutions. This represents a sizable component of the US Private Bank. She is responsible for building out a team of specialists who guide wealthy individuals and their families in strategically using leverage for the specialized challenges of large balance sheets.
Katy understands that borrowing represents an efficient way for financially sophisticated clients to manage liquidity, enabling them to bridge cash flow, manage short term capital gains, or remain opportunistic in the marketplace. Her team employs an advice driven service model to facilitate lines of credit and loans secured by a range of personal assets.
As a member of the U.S. Private Bank Management Team, Katy plays an important part in steering the growth agenda of the firm. She recognizes the impact she makes as a powerful role model at J.P. Morgan, and is passionate about one-on-one mentoring of junior and senior women as they strive to make the most of their professional careers.
Katy comes to this role with significant financing experience, most recently as the Head of Lending for the Southeast Region. Earlier, she spent a decade as a member of the Sports Financing team at J.P. Morgan, supporting teams and team owners across the five major leagues NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS to structure credit for acquisition or working capital.
Katy joined the firm at its headquarters in New York in 2007. In 2014, she relocated to Miami with her husband, Michael, and three sons, Jake, Bobby, and Teddy.
A native of Baltimore, she has an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a B.S. from Wake Forest University.
