Matt Barshied leads a team of professionals in San Francisco and Silicon Valley who provide wealth management advice to individuals and families. With 15 years of experience, Matt takes a holistic view of client intents to identify tax-efficient planning strategies.

Matt is focused on continuing to build the firm’s local presence through initiatives designed to bring impactful advice to clients in Northern California across banking, lending, investing, wealth transfer and philanthropy.

Matt joined J.P. Morgan in 2004. Prior to his current role, he was Head of Investments for the Financial Institutions Group at J.P. Morgan Private Bank based in New York. He also served as a member of J.P. Morgan’s Alternative Investment Group, where he focused on constructing single strategy hedge fund, private equity, real estate and private debt portfolios.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Theology from Boston College.
