Global Head of Advice Lab
Carrie Galloway is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Advice Lab for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In her leadership role, Carrie directs a team of specialists to resolve clients’ most complex challenges. This think tank of subject matter professionals is charged with developing innovative strategies and customized advice for nine critical pillars of wealth—Tax, Executive Compensation, Private Business, Estate Disposition, Family Governance, The Philanthropy Centre, Behavioral Science, Cyber, and Passions & Pursuits.
Carrie takes a partnership approach to empower the group and brainstorm creative ideas and opportunities. The team’s value-added deliverables include training for advisors, outreach to external partners, in-depth communication and deep client engagement. Carrie is focused on developing modeling and tools to support the implementation of Advice Lab’s intellectual capital. She is known for an ability to simplify technical concepts, which makes her an in-demand speaker at public events.
As a former practicing Trusts and Estates attorney, Carrie has worked with affluent clients for many years. Her skill set includes a mastery of tax-efficient strategies and gifting techniques. In 2018, Carrie joined J.P. Morgan as a Wealth Advisor to help clients pursue their legacy goals across the generations of their families. She assumed her current position in 2021, and is passionate about bringing personalized guidance to individuals whose hard work and achievements are so impressive.
Carrie earned a J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she graduated with High Honors, and was the Social Chair of the Student Bar Association. She received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia, and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
An advocate for causes that support diversity, equity and inclusion, Carrie is Co-Chair of the Asset & Wealth Management LGBT MD Roundtables and is also a Women on the Move-AWM Men as Ambassadors Program Partner. She is heavily involved with her church and sits on the board of its Women’s Association.
Carrie lives on the Upper East Side of New York with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys running, yoga, cooking and spending time outdoors on adventures with her children.
