Rick Kalfayan
Rick Kalfayan is a Managing Director and Team Lead for J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank in Princeton. Rick works closely with a broad range of successful clients, including affluent individuals and their families, foundations and endowments. In his multifaceted role, he draws on the strength of his capital markets background to guide them in navigating the rewarding challenges of significant assets.
Rick partners with clients to understand what they are trying to achieve, and how they want their wealth to impact their lifestyles, their families, future generations and the communities around them. He presents strategies that pursue these meaningful goals and add value across the balance sheet—investing, estate planning, banking, borrowing, philanthropy and more. Rick serves as an advocate, delivering access to the intellectual capital and global capabilities of J.P. Morgan that align with the personalized objectives of each individual. Focused on the best interests of every family, he is proud to serve as a trusted resource and a steward of clients’ wealth.
With a 30+ year career spent entirely at J.P. Morgan, Rick is deeply familiar with the needs of high-net-worth individuals. His capabilities include wealth management, team leadership, business development and goals-based planning. Rick spent the first half of his career in New York in the Equity Derivatives Group at the Investment Bank. He has been at the Private Bank since 2006 as a Market Manager, Investment Specialist and Banker.
Acting on a lifelong interest in the investment world, Rick earned a B.S. in Finance from Richard Stockton University.
Rick values philanthropy and is in his fifth year on the board of trustees of Sound Start Babies, an organization that helps families of hearing-impaired children, regardless of their financial statuses. He is a former coach for the Marlboro baseball system.
A native of New Jersey, Rick continues to reside in the state with his wife, Denise, and their two children, Katie and Jake. When not working or spending time with his family, he is an avid sports fan who indulges his passion for golf.
