
Maria Alejandra Oltra
Maria Alejandra Oltra is an Executive Director and member of J.P. Morgan Private Advisory, a cross-disciplinary group of over 100 global specialists who collaborate to deliver innovative and forward-thinking strategies, working closely with Private Bank Advisors to help clients make well-informed decisions and achieve their goals.
Maria Alejandra is part of The Philanthropy Centre team and provides clients with insights and services to help meet their financial and philanthropic goals through innovative advice, thought leadership and learning opportunities. Maria Alejandra works with various clients covered by the U.S. Private Bank and the International Private Bank, specifically focused on the Latin America market.
Maria Alejandra also serves as Advice Strategy Lead, working with the J.P. Morgan Private Advisory leadership team to design and implement strategic initiatives that allow advice to grow and scale within the Private Bank. She also serves as Early Career Manager for the junior team of J.P. Morgan Private Advisory.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2016, Maria Alejandra was a Manager at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), an initiative of the Clinton Foundation. At CGI, Maria Alejandra helped the organization recruit and engage with corporations, NGOs, foundations, and individual members toward solving the world's most pressing problems. Additionally, Maria Alejandra worked alongside CGI’s leadership to develop recruitment strategies for the broader organization. She also participated in the planning and execution of CGI's inaugural international events in Marrakech and Rio de Janeiro attended by global business, government and NGO leaders and personalities. In this capacity, she also advised members on identifying, developing and implementing Commitments-to-Action across diverse content areas. Previously she held research roles at Roubini Global Economics in New York and at the Lemann Foundation in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
She has a Master in Public Administration in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, MA and a B.A. in Economics from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas, Venezuela.
A native of Venezuela, Maria Alejandra has lived in Caracas, Sao Paulo, Boston and New York and speaks native Spanish, fluent English and advanced Portuguese.
