
Geoff Barker, Managing Director, is a Vice Chair of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In this role, Geoff works with the market’s largest clients, focuses on talent development and coordinates the relationship between the Private Bank and other lines of business.
In his previous role, Geoff was the Rockies Market Manager. During that time, the business consistently generated record breaking growth, opened a new office in Salt Lake City and carried on its tradition as the preeminent wealth management franchise in the Mountain West. Prior to leading the business, Geoff was a banker, responsible for overseeing $5BN of client positions.
Geoff joined the firm from the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs in 2006. He started his professional career as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps. During his time on active duty, Geoff led a platoon in combat and commanded at the company level. Geoff holds several personal decorations and the Combat Action Ribbon.
Geoff received his MBA in Finance and Economics at Indiana’s Kelley School of Business. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado with a BA in History.
Geoff lives in Greenwood Village, CO with his wife and two children. He is the Vice Chairman of the Levy Foundation and on the Board of Directors for National Jewish Health.
