
Ian Dilts is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and Co-Head of the firm’s business in Connecticut and Westchester, based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Ian leads a team of over 100 professionals, including more than 50 senior Bankers and Specialists who manage over $20 billion in assets and oversee $50 billion under supervision. His focus is on providing the resources necessary to guide some of the most prominent individuals and families in the area to pursue their meaningful goals.
In his senior position, Ian plays an influential part in driving the advice priorities for the team’s clients. He engages with strategic partners, key stakeholders and business leaders to broaden J.P. Morgan’s presence in the community. Ian builds a culture of experience and collaboration, developing a pathway for his team to remain at the forefront of innovative ideas. He is a member of the East Coast Leadership Team, and has been a member of the Private Bank’s Opportunistic Investments Team and the U.S. Private Bank Advisory Council.
Ian has spent the entirety of his career—more than two decades—at J.P. Morgan, working with highly affluent clients, family offices and financial industry professionals on the complexities of their wealth. He draws from the full breadth of his background to deliver the best practices of successful families, firm insights and market experience that sophisticated investors need. Before his current role, Ian spent 14 years as a Senior Investment Specialist in the Private Bank’s Financial Institutions Group in New York and Connecticut. Interested in helping young professionals launch their careers, he is a mentor in the firm, including a sponsor of the Rising Black Talent Program.
Ian graduated summa cum laude from Babson College with a B.A. in Corporate Finance and Economics. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Connecticut.
An active contributor to his local community, Ian is a board member of the Darien Community Fund, and can regularly be found coaching youth sports in town. He and his family enjoy outdoor activities, including hiking, skiing and mountain biking.
