
Rob Tanner
Dr. Robert Tanner is the Head of Investments & Advice for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Michigan. In this capacity, he provides comprehensive investment advice and strategy to high-net-worth individuals in order for them to potentially attain their goals.
Rob was born and raised in London, England, before moving to Chicago, where he worked at Silva Capital Management LLC, a boutique investment management firm. He was the architect behind Silva Capital’s risk modeling and quantitative analyses. Rob was also active in the day-to-day management of Silva Capital's currency portfolio. Prior to joining Silva Capital, he developed cross-asset analyses for return optimization and risk mitigation purposes at Merrill Lynch, and earlier, built and maintained passive currency overlay models at J.P. Morgan. Rob is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO).
Rob has a Bachelor of Science and a Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham.
Rob currently resides in Oakland, Michigan, with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he is an avid soccer fan and enjoys playing in indoor/outdoor leagues.
