Head of New Client Development Executive Director
Lauren Kessler is an Executive Director and Head of New Client Development for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Lauren leads a team that is instrumental in driving centralized client acquisition efforts across the United States. She orchestrates a disciplined and relationship-focused process that taps the full resources of the firm to help individuals and families grow and preserve their wealth.
As the first point of contact for many of the firm’s new clients, Lauren serves as a powerful gateway to introduce each individual to J.P. Morgan and pair them with the banking team that is best suited to help pursue their goals. To facilitate this approach, she couples her client experience with a true understanding of the needs of affluent families. Lauren believes that a high-touch and personalized experience is invaluable to families of substantial wealth. She partners with marketing to leverage insights and data that enhance advisor and client engagement.
Lauren has spent her entire career at J.P. Morgan and has built an impressive capability set that includes strategic implementation and business development. Most recently, she was part of the Employee & Client Experience team, where she spearheaded key initiatives to deliver best-in-class practices across all Wealth Management segments. Lauren began her career more than a decade ago in the New York Financial Institutions Group and joined the Northern California team in 2013. She relocated back to New York in 2016 to lead a group that worked with the Chief Executive Officer and Operating Committee on growth and expansion efforts.
A graduate of Cornell University, Lauren received a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations. Interested in exploring the world of Finance, she served as a summer analyst during an internship with J.P. Morgan.
Lauren lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Scott, and young daughter, Lucy. To relax, she likes to hike, cook and spend time with her family outdoors. As an extension of her work to help align client challenges with appropriate strategies, Lauren formerly served as an Advisor to Modsy, a 3D interior design start-up based in San Francisco.
