Privacy Policy
This Policy applies as between you, the User of this software application “Quick Mobile Event App” (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Quickmobile for JPMC (as defined below). This Policy applies to JPMC’s use of any and all Data collected by JPMC in relation to your use of the Application and any Services or Systems therein.
By using this Application, Users are consenting to JPMC’s processing of their Data as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by JPMC. “Processing” means using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information.
1. Definitions and Interpretation
In this Privacy Policy the following terms shall have the following meanings:
"Application"
means the Quick Mobile Event App (including any features, functionality and content) as well as this website
(http://www.jpm.com/conferenceapp) and any sub-domains of this site, unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions;
"Registration/Log in details"
means collectively any information input by Users to access the Application or System;
“Content”
means any text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, data compilations and any other form of information capable of being stored in an electronic device that appears on or forms part of the Application;
“Tracking tools”
means tools used to collect and track a User’s interaction within the Application, for example a button clicked or use of a particular module. This allows for the identification of recurring visitors and analysis of their browsing habits within the Application;
“Data”
means collectively all information that a User submits or generates through use of the Application. This includes, but is not limited to, details of events, participants, log in details, preferences, and information submitted using any of the Services or Systems;
“JPMorgan Chase” or “JPMC”
means JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., its affiliated companies, and any third parties or vendors engaged to provide this Service;
“Service”
means collectively any online facilities, tools, services or information that JPMC makes available through the Application either now or in the future;
“System”
means any online communications infrastructure that JPMC makes available through the Application either now or in the future. This includes, but is not limited to, web-based email, message boards, live chat facilities and email links;
“User”/“Users”
means any authorized third party individual who accesses the Application and is not employed by JPMC and is acting in the course of their employment;
“Application Operator”
means Quickmobile, the developer and operator of the Application for JPMC.
2. Data Collected
Without limitation, any of the following Data may be collected, whether the Data has been input by a User or automatically collected:
2.1 Log in details (input by User);
2.2 IP address (automatically collected);
2.3 Web browser type and version (automatically collected);
2.4 Operating system (automatically collected);
2.5 Created date, time stamp, and day stamp (automatically collected);
2.6 UUID, Visitor ID (this is only populated if User logs in – full security means the user will log in) (automatically collected);
2.7 Action type (what element of the app a User navigated to) (automatically collected);
2.8 Platform: device type, Device Code Version, Device Data Version, Device Connection Type (automatically collected);
2.9 Tracking: Quickmobile uses events to collect and track User’s interaction within the Application, for example a button clicked or use of a particular module. A typical event will contain the source, reporter and condition (for example, process start, button clicked) data. The event format enables correlation and interpretation of events by Quickmobile’s internal analytics services for reporting and analysis.
3. JPMC Retention of User Data
3.1 Any Data a User submits will be retained by JPMC for as long as the User uses the Application. Data that a User submits through a System provided by JPMC may be retained for a longer period of time in accordance with JPMC’s retention policies.
4. Disclosure of User Data
4.1 Unless JPMC is obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to clause 4.2 below, User Data will not be disclosed to third parties. This does not include JPMC affiliates and other companies within the JPMC family of companies.
4.2 JPMC may disclose User provided and automatically collected Data in the following circumstances:
4.2.1 as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process including to authorities that may be outside a User’s country or region;
4.2.2 when JPMC believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect JPMC’s rights, protect a User’s safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
4.2.3 with JPMC’s trusted service providers working on JPMC’s behalf, who do not have an independent use of the User Data we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
4.2.4 if JPMC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, Users will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on JPMC’s web site of any change in ownership or uses of User Data, as well as any choices Users may have regarding User Data.
5. Uses of User Data
5.1 Any or all of the above Data may be required by JPMC from time to time in order to provide Users with the best possible service and experience when using the Application. Specifically, Data may be used by JPMC for the following purposes:
5.1.1 Performing the Service
5.1.2 internal record keeping; and compliance with legal requirements
5.1.3 improvement of JPMC’s products / services;
5.2 For Australian Users, in addition to this Privacy Policy, Users may obtain a copy of J.P. Morgan’s Privacy Policy in relation to the Data of Australian individuals at https://www.jpmorgan.com/jpmpdf/1320694304655.pdf.
6. Transfers of User Data abroad
6.1 As a global operator JPMC and/or its service providers may process User Data in jurisdictions different from User’s jurisdiction, including the United States. Any transfer or processing of User Data in such jurisdictions will be governed by this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
6.2 Quickmobile will store Application Data using cloud services including Amazon Web Services (“AWS”). By using the Application Users consent to Quickmobile’s transfers to AWS, and AWS’s storage, of such Data.
7. User’s Right to Withhold Information
7.1 Users may access certain areas of the Application without providing any Data at all. However, to use all Services and Systems available through the Application, Users may be required to submit their log in details or other Data.
7.2 Users may be able to restrict the use of tracking tools through their device or browser settings.
8. User’s Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have a number of rights regarding the processing of your User Data, including:
8.1 the right to request access to, or copies of, your Data that we process or control, together with information regarding the nature, processing and disclosure of those Data; 8.2 the right to request rectification of any inaccuracies in your Data that we process or control;
8.3 the right to request, on legitimate grounds:
- erasure of your Data that we process or control; or
- restriction of processing of your Data that we process or control;
8.4 the right to have your Data that we process or control transferred to another controller, to the extent applicable;
8.5 where we process your Data on the basis of your consent, the right to withdraw that consent; and
8.6 the right to lodge complaints with a Data Protection Authority regarding the processing of your Data by us or on our behalf.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
9. Security
9.1 Data security is of great importance to JPMC, and to protect User Data JPMC has put in place, and requires service providers to put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure Data collected through the Application. For example, we limit access to User Data to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve the Application.
10. Changes to this Policy
JPMC reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy as it deems necessary from time to time or as may be required by law. Any changes will be posted via the Application and Users are deemed to have accepted the terms of the Policy on User’s first use of the Application following the changes.
