Martin Marron is the Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan Latin America & Canada, responsible for overseeing all of J.P. Morgan's activities in the region. He is also the head of Latin America Investment Banking and Private Banking and a member of J.P. Morgan's Global Corporate & Investment Bank Management Committee.
Martin joined J.P. Morgan Buenos Aires in 1992 as a Fixed Income trader. Then, moved to New York as a market maker of External Sovereign Debt becoming head of the team in 2000. In 2001, Martin returned to Argentina to lead the Local Markets team and, shortly after, moved to Brazil to become head of Local Markets. In 2006, he was appointed Co-Senior Country Officer of Brazil while retaining his Markets role.
Martin returned to New York in 2007 as Head of Global Emerging Markets Americas Sales and Trading and, in 2012 he expanded his responsibilities to also serve as CEO of Latin America. In 2014, Mr. Marron was made head of Investment Banking for Latin America while maintaining his CEO role.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Martin worked at Price Waterhouse, Credit Lyonnais and Citibank NA. He is currently a board member for the Council of the Americas.
Martin holds a Major in Accounting from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
