Laura Davis is a Managing Director for J.P. Morgan Private Bank based in Greenwich, Connecticut. She leads the Founders and Families Group offering clients thoughtful solutions for preserving and growing wealth. Laura is committed to understanding clients’ intent for their wealth and developing innovative strategies to meet evolving needs. One of the greatest privileges of Laura’s career has been to collaborate with families in identifying the values they find most meaningful and to explore the legacies they wish to leave.
Laura has over 25 years of wealth management experience and oversees more than $10 billion in client assets. She draws from her interactions with some of the world’s foremost entrepreneurs, hedge fund principals, institutional clients and multi-generational families to offer objective insights for sustaining wealth. Laura is known for her expansive network and ability to connect people with the resources they need. She builds deep and longstanding relationships with her clients, always with a high level of care and service.
Before rejoining J.P. Morgan in 2006, Laura was an advisor to a multi-generational family, delivering guidance on investable assets and real estate holdings. She developed a comprehensive plan to grow and preserve their wealth and efficiently transfer assets to future generations.
Laura is a graduate of Rutgers University, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Business. She holds the FINRA Series 7, 9, 10 and 63 licenses. Laura was named to the 2020 Barron’s Top Advisor list, ranked fifth in Connecticut. In 2019, she was selected for J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s inaugural Morgan Circle, which recognizes a small group of advisors for their exceptional performance. The Financial Times included Laura in its Top 100 Financial Advisers list in 2014.
Like many of the clients she serves, Laura is passionate about philanthropy. She lends her time and support to organizations committed to achieving gender equality by investing in women and girls, including Social Venture Partners, Women Moving Millions, Girls with Impact, and the FCCF Fund for Women and Girls. She also serves on the Finance Committee for St. Mark’s Church. Laura lives in New Canaan, Connecticut, with her husband and her two children. In her free time, she loves to gain a fresh perspective by discovering new places and exploring different cultures. Laura also has a passion for running and fitness.
