Managing Director Head of Investments
Ian Dilts is a Managing Director and Head of Investments for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He leads the investment practice for ultra-high-net-worth clients throughout Connecticut. Ian’s team of professionals are responsible for approximately $12bn in assets under management and $37bn in assets under supervision. The team provides advice on portfolio construction, asset allocation, manager selection, and opportunistic trading across both public and private markets. Ian has 19 years of investment experience at J.P. Morgan.
Prior to his current role, Ian spent 14 years as a senior investor in the Private Bank’s Financial Institutions Group in New York and Connecticut. There, he was responsible for providing custom investment advice to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and hedge fund clients. Ian has experience utilizing cash, derivative, and structured products across a variety of asset classes to achieve client goals.
Ian began his career at J.P. Morgan as an investment banking analyst covering the healthcare industry. He joined the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in 2002.
In addition to his responsibilities, Ian has been a member of the Private Bank’s Opportunistic Calls team and the U.S. Private Bank Advisory Council.
Ian graduated Summa Cum Laude from Babson College with a B.A. focused in corporate finance and economics. He is a CFA® Charterholder and holds the Series 7, 9, 10 and 63 securities licenses.
